Transcribe a Short or Reel to Text
Get the words from a YouTube Short. What works for short vertical video, and what this tool does not open.
YouTube Shorts, if captions exist
A Short is still a YouTube URL. Paste it into the transcript page. If the Short has captions, you get the lines. The fuller Shorts notes are in get a YouTube Shorts transcript.
Reels on other apps
An Instagram reel, a TikTok, or a private story is not a YouTube link. This tool will not open it. Download is not a workaround we offer.
If someone has also posted that clip on YouTube, use the YouTube URL.
Short text still needs a check
Shorts are full of names, slang, and music under the voice. Auto-captions slip. Read the line against the clip before you repost it.
